The 2022 NBA Rookie of the Year race features an exciting three-way battle at the top, with Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes, and Cade Cunningham all listed at +260 odds as of November 30th.

Evan Mobley (Cleveland Cavaliers) impacts winning more than any rookie, averaging around 8 rebounds and contributing significantly on defense with over one block and steal per game. While his scoring trails Barnes slightly, his two-way impact is undeniable.

Scottie Barnes (Toronto Raptors) has impressed with his versatile play, excelling in rebounding, playmaking, and ball-handling. Though his jump shot remains a work in progress, the Raptors' decision to select him over Jalen Suggs appears justified.

Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons) started the season late but shows promise, averaging 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. However, his shooting efficiency (36% FG, 27% 3PT) needs improvement.

Jalen Green (+650) has shown flashes of brilliance for Houston but remains one-dimensional and is currently sidelined with an injury that may impact his minutes upon return.

Josh Giddey (+1400) performs well alongside SGA in Oklahoma City's backcourt but isn't considered a serious contender for the award. Other rookies like Franz Wagner, Chris Duarte, and Davion Mitchell have shown promise but are unlikely to challenge the top candidates.
