Professional Call of Duty player Pred has officially announced his departure from OpTic Texas, citing the need to address personal mental health concerns. The announcement comes after he returned to Australia to focus on his wellbeing.

During a December 16 stream, Pred addressed ongoing speculation about his departure and explicitly denied rumors about gambling on Call of Duty League matches. He emphasized that his decision to step away stems from personal issues affecting his competitive performance, practice routines, and relationships with both family and friends.

OpTic Texas had previously replaced Pred with former OpTic star Huke on December 12, a move that was announced with minimal reference to Pred's situation.

In a statement on Twitter/X, Pred expressed gratitude for fan support and confirmed his temporary withdrawal from competitive play:

"I appreciate all the support and love everyone is showing me, words can't explain how much that all means to me. As you guys are now aware of the situation I am currently dealing with, I will be stepping away and handling my personal issues to fix my mental health. Go cheer the boys on and I'll be rooting for them. A minor setback for a major comeback."

Currently, OpTic Texas maintains a 3-1 record in the CDL's Major One qualifiers. The league is on holiday break and will resume competition on January 17.
