
GCSUs Esports Team: Everything You Need to Know About Gaming at Georgia College
Yes, Georgia College & State University (GCSU) has an esports team. The program was officially launched in Fall 2020 as part of the university's commitment to competitive gaming and digital sports.
The GCSU esports team competes in several popular game titles including:
League of Legends Rocket League Overwatch Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Valorant
The team participates in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) for collegiate esports competitions, competing against other schools in the southeastern United States. GCSU's esports program is also a member of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE).
Students interested in joining GCSU's esports team can try out at the beginning of each semester. The program offers both competitive and casual gaming opportunities, with dedicated practice spaces in the university's Gaming Hub located in the Maxwell Student Union.
