Eight teams have received direct invites to PGL Cluj-Napoca, set to take place from October 17-22, 2023. The invites include notable teams MOUZ, Cloud9, Virtus.pro, and Team Spirit, who will compete for the $250,000 prize pool.

Eight additional teams will join through regional qualifiers, bringing the total to 16 competitors. The qualifiers will be held in Europe (3 slots), Asia (2 slots), Americas (2 slots), and China (1 slot).

PGL Cluj-Napoca marks the CS2 era's first major tournament in Romania since the PGL Major Antwerp 2022. The event will use a double-elimination format, with all matches played as best-of-three series.

Teams will compete at the BT Arena, which has previously hosted several notable CS:GO tournaments, including the DreamHack Masters Cluj-Napoca 2015 Major.

The tournament's $250,000 prize pool distribution and detailed match schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
