After nearly a decade, Rainbow Six Siege is entering a new era with Siege X, featuring a major visual overhaul and a transition to a free-to-play model. This significant update aims to make the game more accessible while maintaining competitive integrity.

Key Changes in Siege X:

  • Free-to-play access to casual modes
  • Competitive play and Siege Cup remain premium features
  • Complete visual overhaul of multiple maps
  • Improved textures across all platforms (4K available on PC)
  • New interactive elements like metal detectors, gas pipes, and fire hydrants
  • Enhanced materials and lighting systems

Five maps are receiving initial modernization:

  • Bank
  • Border
  • Clubhouse
  • Chalet
  • Kafe

For Existing Players:

  • All progress, skins, and operators will be retained
  • Special veteran badge showing original start date
  • Full access to all game modes
  • Additional maps will be overhauled in future seasons
