Luigi Mangione, arrested for allegedly shooting United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson on Dec. 4, has been linked to the development of the popular strategy game Civilization VI through his LinkedIn profile.

According to reports from the BBC and other outlets, Mangione's LinkedIn page indicates he completed an internship at Firaxis Games, where he worked as a UI Programming Intern on Civilization VI. During his internship, he reportedly "fixed over 300 UI bugs (25 percent of UI bug count)."

Mangione's gaming background extends beyond his work at Firaxis. While attending the University of Pennsylvania, he founded a game development club. His apparent Twitter account, inactive since June 10, features a Pokémon-themed banner displaying Breloom, a Fighting and Grass-type Pokémon.

The Civilization series, where Mangione contributed, is a renowned turn-based strategy game franchise that allows players to develop civilizations from ancient times to the modern era, managing aspects like technology, religion, and culture.

Mangione was apprehended on Dec. 9 in Pennsylvania after being recognized by a McDonald's employee. CNN reports he is scheduled for a preliminary arraignment this evening.
